SpiralFrog Signs Deal With EMI

Wednesday June 4, 2008

The ad-driven SpiralFrog music service has announced through a press release that it has struck a deal with EMI. This is a significant agreement with one of the 'big four' record labels that will enable consumers in North America to download EMI's large catalog for free and without the fear of copyright infringement.

Artists such as Coldplay, Duran Duran, Lenny Kravitz, The Beach Boys, and David Bowie will now be featured on the SpiralFrog music service. The chairman and founder of SpiralFrog, Joe Mohen, said, "Not only does this significantly expand our catalog of music and videos, it also demonstrates our continued content deal momentum. In just six months since our launch, SpiralFrog has grown to be the third largest legal download site in terms of registered users. We anticipate that the addition of the EMI catalog will fuel our growth even more."
