An article by Readwrite.com, has highlighted that music pirates could take advantage of apps on the Windows Phone platform to illegally download copyrighted digital music -- rather than using a legit service like Microsoft's new Xbox Music.
Even though Windows Phone apps go through an approval process before appearing on Microsoft's online store, there are already several that could be used to download copyrighted songs for free along with legitimate files too. Readwrite's article focuses on a few of these such as: Audiotica, Sky Music, Amazing Music, and Music and Ringtones Downloader -- the last one interestingly searches the cloud storage service, 4Shared!
