Samsung's Milk Music service was designed in 2014 to be a music-streaming competitor for the likes of Pandora and Spotify, with user-defined radio stations and playlists. Initially, Milk Music was available only to Samsung Galaxy mobile device users, but its reach was later expanded to Samsung smart TV owners and anyone online.

Samsung shut down Milk Music in 2016 after the service failed to catch on, but the music is still playing for Samsung Galaxy device owners. Here's a look at some streaming music alternatives to Samsung's Milk Music.

Milk Music was free, but had a Premium tier to which users could upgrade. Unfortunately for Samsung, few users upgraded to Premium, which hastened the service's demise.
