If you've been lucky enough to receive an iTunes Gift Card from someone, or have gone out and purchased one yourself, then you might be wondering what you can do with it -- or even how to use it. Just like any store gift card that you may have already used, an iTunes gift card can be redeemed for purchases on Apple's iTunes Store. This includes digital music, iPhone apps, and more. To find out how to redeem one, follow this short tutorial.
Here's How:
Turn the iTunes gift card over to view the back of it. Using a coin, carefully scratch off the silver anti-tamper coating to reveal the special redemption code.
Run the iTunes software. If you haven't got an iTunes account, then you will need to install Apple's software to create one before redeeming the iTunes code. You can download the latest version from Apple's iTunes website.
Click the iTunes Store menu option (under Store) in the left window pane of iTunes. Once the store has loaded, log into your account by clicking the Sign In button.
To enter the code you revealed in step 1, click the Redeem option in the Quick Links menu on the right-hand side of the screen. Enter the code when prompted and click the Redeem button. *Note:* it is very important to input the code exactly as shown on the card.
If the code has been accepted, the credit will now be added to your iTunes Store account.
