One of the great features of TigoTago is being able to rename a batch of files by using ID3 tag information. Very often files can be poorly named and need extra identification to make organizing your music library easier. TigoTago has numerous tools to help you identify and organize your music library – one of which is the Names From Tags tool.

To batch process a selection of files and rename them by using their metadata, click on the Names From Tags icon (see image above). You will be presented with a popup box that you can use to set the filename mask. For example, by default the filename mask is [%6 %2] which formats the filenames to have the track number followed by the title name. To apply your custom filename mask click OK. Remember that the files on your hard drive will not be modified until you click on the Save All icon.

TigoTago has many more tools that are not featured in this tutorial but are well worth experimenting with to help you organize your music library efficiently.
