An iTunes gift certificate (similar to iTunes Gift Cards) is a virtually instant way of giving someone credit for songs, albums, apps, audiobooks, etc., that is redeemable on Apple's iTunes Store. You can choose a credit amount of $10 - $50 for your iTunes gift certificate which can either be instantly sent via email, or printed out so you can present it in person if you prefer. To find out how to buy an iTunes gift certificate, follow this short tutorial.
Run the iTunes software on your computer. If you haven't got an iTunes account, then you will need to install Apple's software to create one before you can send an iTunes gift certificate. You can download the latest version from Apple's iTunes website.
Click the iTunes Store menu option (under Store) in the left window pane of iTunes. Once the store has loaded, log into your account by clicking the Sign In button.
To start buying an iTunes gift certificate, click the Buy iTunes Gifts option in the Quick Links menu on the right-hand side of the screen.
To send a gift certificate by email, click the Buy Now button in the Email Gift Certificates section. If you would rather print your certificate out and present it in person, click the Buy Now button in the Printable Gift Certificates section.
Complete the short form, making sure in particular that the recipient's email address is correct (if you have selected this option). Choose the amount of credit you want to send and type in a message if required in the Personal Message text box. When you are happy with everything, click the Continue button.
On the final screen, review your purchase details. If you need to change anything, click the Back button. To commit to purchasing your gift certificate, click the Buy button.
