Introduction

Sometimes it is necessary to convert (transcode) one audio format to another because of some hardware/software restriction that the user comes up against. A prime example of this is the Apple iPod which can’t play WMA files. This restriction can be overcome by using software, like MediaMonkey, to convert to a compatible audio format such as the universally accepted MP3 format.

But what if the WMA files that you have are DRM protected? If you face this hurdle, you may want to read about Tunebite 5 which removes DRM in a legal way.

The first step is to download and install MediaMonkey. This software (Windows only) is free to use and the latest version can be downloaded from Ventis Media Inc’s website .
